Nepalese Ladies at 'Mission to Help' Charity Demonstrate How Life Can Becomes More Meaningful when We Show Compassion to others in Less Fortunate Circumstances
Mission to Help is a Nepali NGO, established in 2011 whose Head office is based in United Kingdom. The Charity is established to help Smalll NGO's in NEPAL who are working directly or indirectly in sectors of rural socio-economic development and poverty alleviation. The Charity is also aimed at helping victims of Natural disasters in Nepal.
Our community members are split between Nepal and UK which help to connect and conduct our programmes efficiently .We are really proud to have national treasures as community members like Mr Matrika Poudel and Mrs Sarmila Bardewa.
The Shuva Kamana Sanjh 2011 held at Reading
Having worked in care provision for elderly people in UK for a long time, we wanted to do something to help poor, helpless and abandoned elderly people back home in Nepal as we are aware that many have little access to even the most basic necessities. We believed that because they are our seniors, they deserve to live with respect, dignity and at least basic comfort.
Therefore we decided to help elderly people at Devghat Rotary Karunalaya for our first mission. We had visited Rotary Karunalaya immediately after our registration and had found that there was no free access and appliance for immobile person. Therefore we decided to raise funds to buy wheel chair and make access or ramp for wheelchair mobility.
We had organised Suvakamana Sanjh on 25 september one of community hall in Reading(UK) to raise the fund.
Unfortunately we could not raise the enough fund to meet our required budget. But we haven't lost hope and are trying our best to succeed in raising enough funds to fulfil our objective. For this, we are organising another charity dinner in Kathmandu between Dashain and Tihar.
We would like to thank everyone for their support in promoting this meaningful event and of course, those who turned up on the day to enjoy the programme as well as help us raise funds.
Wishing you a Very Happy Vijaya Dashami and Tihar,
Ms Babi Lama and Mrs Prativa Shahi (Founder, Vice-President of Mission to Help, UK)

We commend the efforts of Mission Help Nepal to lessen hardship in the lives of others less fortunate, and wish them every success in all their endeavours. May this exemplary effort encourage other community members to do similar meaningful acts of generosity and compassion for others.
