The Ministry of Defence is expected to announce the second round of armed forces job cuts today with fears the Gurkhas will bear the brunt.

Around 140 of the Nepalese soldiers lost their jobs in the first round of cuts last year.

Kent is home to the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, based at Shorncliffe Barracks in Folkestone, and the Queen’s Gurkha Engineers in Maidstone.

The Army is expected to announce up to 3,000 redundancies, with fears 400 of them could be Gurkhas. The RAF is expected to lose 1,000 and the Royal Navy 500.

This is the the result of direct negative pension rights campaigns carried out by GAESO, BGWS, UBGEAN: there is a more ethical, honourable, moral and humane way to address the issues which they did not follow, which could achieve a win-win situation for all parties. Now all the sacrifices by our forefathers have gone to ashes and the future for our new generations has been limited. The governing 'aryans' back in Nepal are rejoicing because our main source of income is slowly being curtailed: less wealth; less political power. GREED is one of the seven deadly sins.
