‘Songs forever’ is a promotional line for the Musical team lead by the main vocalist, Mr Bibek Shrestha  of the Band which goes by the name Kandara “if you haven’t heard of” and with him are the Chorus Band and their supporting staffs. They are on a Musical tour in the United Kingdom and it is still a surprise on how the team had thought of doing a show here in Brecon.

The date was set for Saturday, 11 February 2012 and the venue Guildhall Town Hall, Brecon. The news of this event had spread far and wide as there were audiences who had made their way from Cardiff and Cwmbran. There were also numbers of audiences from 1 RGR currently supporting the Junior Leaders Cadre in Sennybridge.

As the title itself says ‘Songs forever’, Mr Bibek Sherestha and his band justified it to the full by performing songs from famous artists including the legendary late Mr. Narayan Gopal, Mr Deep Shrestha, Mr Arun Thapa, the ever soulful Mrs Sukmit Gurung  to name few to his own melodious songs from Kandara band. The audiences on the other side were mesmerised and every song concluded with the loudest cheers and roaring of claps then the last. A standing ovation from the floor as the show came to an end summarised on how surprisingly wonderful the night had turned out to be.

Special thanks to Major Khusiman Gurung MVO, Officer Commanding – Gurkha Company (Mandalay) and his good lady, Mrs. Manju Gurung and Mr Shibaji Shreshtha - Advisor of Wales Nepalese Community Cardiff for bringing the show to Brecon.

It was worth the night.
