We take great pleasure in providing this brief update on our didi bahinis' exemplary activity:

Farnborough based ladies from the Magar Sangh UK have been organising the annual LADIES RAMJHAM NIGHT for the past five years. Throughout the years, all money raised from the ladies' nights have been forwarded to good causes back in Nepal and to felicitate Nepalese people leading extraordinary, inspiring lives. Those who have benefitted in the past include kidney patient Praveen Rana, Guinness book title holder Khagendra Thapa (then world's shortest man), patient Laxmi Rana, disabled, inspirational figure Ganga Rayamajhi etc.

Accordingly, this year's raised funds are to jointly benefit an orphanage and an elderly people's home in Kathmandu run by the great Dilshova Shrestha didi. It maybe appropriate to point out that the elderly people being given food, shelter, dignity amid much love and care at Dilshova didi's care home are often without families or those whose families have deserted them in their twilight years and most significantly, due to lack of state-sponsored care facilities for the elderly in Nepal, is totally funded by Dilshova didi and kind-hearted, generous individuals.

We therefore applaud our didibahinis here in UK for their consideration and generosity; not only did they organise a wonderful event for all didibahinis to come together and enjoy, but they also raised funds for such good causes. We are hopeful that events like these will inspire more Nepalese social events in future to give towards meaningful causes.
