Unbeknown to many Nepalese residing in UK, Nepal's new national anthem lyricist, the poet Pradeep Kumar Rai is now in UK on a brief visit sponsored by Naya Sandesh weekly Nepali newspaper. According to Naya Sandesh weekly paper's chief editor (Adv.) Chandiraj Rai, the visit is aimed at evoking pride amongst the younger generation in being a Nepalese descendent as well as to try and preserve the Nepalese languagand our rich cultural heritage.

The Medway Gurkha Nepalese community had the honour of welcoming the national treasure at their summer get-together and here are the pictures, courtesy of Mr. Uttar Patangwa. We are thankful to Mr. Patangwa for sharing these pictures with the wider community. ENJOY!!!

  The new national anthem is indeed very patriotic. Hopefully the Nepali diaspora will pay closer respect to it besides following the national anthem of their newly adopted nation.

  बधाई छ राम्रो कामको लागी, सबै इस्कुल जाने नानेहरुलाई रास्ट्रीय गान,लेखकको नाम र जीवनी थाहा छ जस्तो लाग्दैन- चक्रपाणी चालीसेले लेख्नु भएकोलाइ सबै इस्कुलमा गाउनु पर्ने,लेखकको नाम, जन्म दीन,जन्म थलो,जीवनी सबै कण्ठ बनाउनु पर्ने त्यो अहीले ब्याकुल माइलाले लेखेकोले होकी त्यो हुन् नसकेको..!! अर्को चालीसेले लेखेको भए येस्तो हुने थीएन की - की लेखक परलोग भए पछी मात्र सबै कुरोको शुरुवात हुने हो..! की रास्ट्रीय गानबारे पनी देशका बीद्वानहरु, बुद्दीजीबी र नेताहरुको कन्जुसाई गरेको ले हो ?
