The wider Gurkha Nepalese community welcomes the brilliant news that the entire medal collection that were stolen from ex-Sgt. Maj. Gurung's Gurkha restaurant very recently have now been returned. Hope he will now insure the collection and keep it somewhere safer.

To rob a Gurkha of his family's proud legacy earned through sheer bravery and loyalty across five generations is akin to slicing him in parts. The wider Gurkha family too is aggrieved by this callous theft. We hope that someday soon the medal collection which understandably holds such deep 'irreplaceable' sentimental value will be found/returned in full to its rightful owner.
