Minibus Driver - Full time & part time positions

Gemini Resourcing UK Ltd is a Leicester based employment agency, supplying low to medium skilled temporary workers to local industry.

We are currently looking for either a full time driver (30 hours pw) or two part time drivers (up to 16hrs pw – would suit retired or semi retired person).

We use a small fleet of vehicles (mainly minibuses) to provide a transportation service to and from work.

The role is to drive a minibus and transport up to 16 temporary workers.

Tasking will involve weekends and some unsocial hours.

Requirements

• Licence: D and or D1 group without 101/78 restriction, must have held full licence for minimum of 2 years
• Tacho:  Digital Tachograph Card
• Age: Minimum 25 years old
• Penalty Points:  Maximum of 6

Specific Tasks/Assignments

Although you may be required to carry out other tasks/assignments, primarily the following may be included in your weekly schedule of tasks/assignments:

Morning  (Dayshift to work)

• Pick up workers from pre designated pick up points and convey to office in Northampton Street.  0400hrs
• Embark workers at office and convey them to work location in Atherstone (approx 25 miles) 0430hrs – 0515hrs.
• Pick up Nightshift workers at work location in Atherstone and convey back to Leicester dropping off at pre-designated drop off points.  0515hrs – 0600hrs

During the Day  (Pick up Dayshift)

• Workers may finish anytime between 1000hrs and 1530hrs, you will be allocated pick up times to be at work location.
• You may be given more than one pick up task on your schedule.
• Having picked up you will convey workers back to Leicester and drop them off at pre-designated drop off points.

Evening (nightshift to Work)

• Pick up workers from pre-designated pick up points and convey to office in Northampton Street.  1830hrs

• Embark workers at office and convey them to work location in Atherstone (approx 25 miles) 1840hrs – 1915hrs.
• Return to Leicester empty.

Early Nightshift Pick Up

Although not currently programmed into the schedule, it is possible that an early pick up will be introduced at about 0300hrs.

Schedule

A weekly drive schedule is produced on Thursday of each week when predicted worker figures are received by Gemini.  The schedule will cover the period Friday through to the following Saturday.

The schedule will include the proposed drive programme incorporating weekly and daily obligatory breaks, any servicing/pmi requirements and tachograph download/vehicle inspections.

Legal

Gemini will make every effort to ensure that you operate within the law, but as the driver, you also have a responsibility to ensure that you do not do anything to breach your legal driving/rest requirements.

Pay

The rate of pay is dependent on the type of licence you hold and experience, however base rates are:

• D1 - £7.50 per hr
• D  - £8.00 per hr
